Today in shared math, we read One Hundred Hungry Ants and identified all the various ways the ants could march in 100 to get to the picnic. While finding patterns to our findings, we worked with a partner on multiplies of 10. We were solving real-world problems using our multiplies of 10 strategies.
An example problem we worked on was: The Bank of Mathematics has run out of $100, Alison wants to withdraw $300 in $10 bills. How many $10 bills does she get? Ask your child on how to solve it!
